Conditioner BEFORE you shampoo

Per Prevention.com
http://www.prevention.com/12healthlessons/list/12.shtml

I read this & had to try it. I have very long & fine hair. I read this & tried it that very night. I do not use a blow dryer or curling iron (haven't used one of these in over ten years.) so I wash my hair the night before. It takes a long time for it to dry naturally. Anyway. When I brush my hair in the morning I have a little lift in it. It is nice that it is not flat. So it is nice to see a little bounce. I am going to continue doing this. Thanks Prevention.com.

Here is what it said:
Get gorgeous hairThe researcher: Michael Jutt, chemical engineer and director of product development, Frédéric Fekkai & Co.
The lesson: Use conditioner before shampoo on occasion. “While researching an experimental styling material, we discovered that none of our shampoos removed it from hair very well. Some materials from products adhere very tightly to follicles and can build up over time. One day, someone in the lab accidentally used conditioner to wash; she corrected it then by washing with shampoo—and to our surprise, the hair ended up much cleaner. Why does it work? The built-up material gets trapped in the conditioner, then you wash away both with shampoo.”

Have hotter sex?

Per Prevention.com

I read this could not believe it. I can't believe they are tell me that my husband or that any man could possibly be more turned on my PUMPKIN PIE than perfume? Can you believe it?

The researcher: Alan Hirsch, MD, director, Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation
The lesson: Smelling popcorn can boost your sex life. “Our studies found that men respond to just about any scent with increased penile blood flow. Skip the pricey perfume—it upped blood flow by only 3%. The smell of cheese pizza increased it by 5%; buttered popcorn, by 9%; and the combined scent of lavender and pumpkin pie, a whopping 40%.

Just read about a great use for sunscreen

Summer is over & now you have bottles of expired sunscreen. Don't throw them out just yet. There is great use for them. You can still use it as cream to shave your legs & keep them smooth. Many have vitamin E in them so that will help keep them touchable soft.

A great use for a veggie steamer

Want that spa experience at home then here is another tip for that feeling. Moisten a washcloth. Be sure to wring out any excess water. Roll up the washcloths and place in the steamer for 3-5 minutes. Do not keep the washcloths in longe than 5 minutes. They will be hot when you go to get them out so use a good set of tongs to get them out because with all the steam they will be HOT! Allow them to cool a bit before placing them on yourself or anyone else.

Help with Cold sores and blisters.

Get cold sores or fever blisters? Try lemon balm & taking Vitamin C. This really helps. For me it worked better than Abreva. I know this sounds gross but works... Applying ear wax will work very well too. You will be surprised how much it will go down. If it us small then it could be gone my morning. Something in there that works. Good luck & God bless you. :0)

Bamboo plants in a fish tank

It will not harm the plant or the fish in your tank. . I asked the PetSmart & they sd they actually have some floating in their tanks there. The only problem being they float. You will need to surround them with gravel or marbles to keep them from floating.

Good luck & God bless you. :0)

Best bra made by Soma by Chico The Travelers Allura Bra

BRAS

I HIGHLY recommend Soma by Chico. They have the best bras I have ever had. I would NEVER trade. Victoria Secret is nothing compared to them. I am a 38 DDD & well at first I was going for the minimizer bras but then they put me in this bra that did wonders. It lifted them, made them appear smoothier & rounder. I can not say enough about it. They are a little pricey but so worth the price. I use the Travelers Allura Bra. Buy the soft or dark nude. You can even wear it with white shirt & they can't tell it. I love it. I will send you the website. Good luck & God bless you. :)

Here are a few things you can do:Raw potato slices will help tighten baggy, puffy eyes. All you need is a potato and a knife or slicer! To Make:1. Slice 1/4 potato to fit over your eyes.2. Cut 2 slices or, if you prefer, 5 to 10 very thin slices, several for each eye. Either method works. To Use:1. Spritz eye area with water.2. Lying down, place the potato slices on your eyelids and leave in place for at least 10 minutes for best results.Use tea bags to relieve puffy eyesMethodSteep tea bags in boiling water for three to five minutes. Allow tea bags to cool. Wrap the cold tea bags in cloth or tissue, so that they don't stain your skin or cause stinging. Lie down and close your eyes. Place a tea bag over each eye. Leave in place for five to fifteen minutes. Why It WorksTraditionally, people have used black tea bags or green tea bags. These teas contain tannins, a natural astringent which constricts blood vessels and pulls the skin taut. However, some sources recommend using herbal teas. Herbal teas that do not contain tannins may not constrict blood vessels or reduce swelling, but they can soothe redness and irritation, reducing inflammation.Try cucumbers for puffy eyesMethodSlice two thin rounds of cucumber. Lie down and place a cucumber round over each eye. Relax for 15 minutes, and then remove. For bags under the eyes, you can grate cucumber and apply it as a poultice to the skin under the eyes. Leave in place for fifteen minutes. Why It WorksCucumbers contain an astringent that may help to constrict blood vessels around the eye. Cucumbers also have a cooling effect on inflamed, irritated skin.Strawberry is another fruit that has very strong hydrating properties and can remove thus puffy eye bags under your eyes. Best 4 in 1 make up consealer, foundation, sunscreen and finishing powder all in one.

I use Pur Minerals. It is the only 4-in-1 out there. 1. Concealer. 2. Foundation. 3. Sunscreen. 4 Finishing powder. This is a pressed powder. I love it. I have been using it for over a year & would not trade it for anything. You can get it at Dillards (in a big city smaller ones will not carry it) Utla stores or Ulta.com. It runs $24.50 but when you add this stuff up separately it will be about the same or a little more depends on what you already use. At the end of the day my makeup still looks good not much shine at all. It does a very good cover up. I love this. Good luck & God bless you. :0)

How to apply makeup and which works best?

I have posted this on Yahoo Answers too many times to count.

At the end of the day my makeup still looks good not much shine at all. It does a very good cover up. The have a starter kit. It will come with a chisel brush. I also use their Pur Minerals Marble Blush Pink. I use the same brush to apply the blush. I use Pur Minerals Mineral Glow. Get that healthy, sun-kissed look all year with this micronized mineral powder with golden undertones. Apply to your T zone & along the jawline.
I use Loreal Bare Naturale Eyeliner. It comes with a brush. If you want your eyes to look bigger than apply the eyeliner on the outside of the eyelid. Smaller on the inside. But if you use the Loreal it is a powder which is good because it lasts longer. If you want a pencil I used Maybelline Line Point. You don’t have to worry about sharpening that one. I use to use it until I tried Loreal. Now I would not go back to the pencil. I love Revlon’s new Colorstay Ultimate Lipcolor. It really works. I apply it in the morning & never reapply during to day or at night. Good luck & God bless you.

How to get stronger nails?

I have posted this on Yahoo Answers as well.

How to get stronger nails?
1. take 1000 mg Biotin
2. Get Revivanail Signature (expensive but worth it $22)

The Revivanail you only apply once a month. I have very thin nails. I can grow them but then they start breaking. So I started taking Biotin which helps along with the Revivanail Within a week my nails were growing. Yes, they were flexible but still strong. If it is too expensive for you try this by Sally Hansen Green Tea + Bamboo (about $4) I was using this before I got Revivanail. Good luck & God bless you. :)

Easiest way to remove Acrylic Nails

Here is another one that I have posted on Yahoo Answers tons of times thought I might as well post it here too.

Removing Acrylic Nails

Go to Target & get their Studio Tools Nail polish remover Maxium Strength. This removes the nails faster than anything else. It is just under $3. It is the store brand for Calico Polish Off Professional This is the best stuff & fastest to remove your nails. It runs $5. Not much at all when you think about it. Here is a truly fast way. You will need the following things:1. Get a big bowl of water2. Get a smaller bowl & put the 100% acetone in it3. Napkin4. File5. Buffer6. ClothPut the bowl of water in the micro for 3 mins. Then take it out & place the bowl of acetone in it. Then place your hand in it & cover it with a napkin or cloth. The small bowl will get REALLY hot. If it is too hot for you just remove the cloth. The cloth is to keep the heat & the smell in. After about 2-5 mins. ck your nails. It should be bubbly & lifting. Take your buffer & get to work rubbing off some of it. Then put your nails back in it. Before you know it it is all done. It takes we 20 mins. for both hands. & NO PAIN from ripping them off or anything. You might be able to remove them faster if you buffer a lot. I am not in a huge hurry. Good luck & God bless you. :)

Help growing long hair.

I have been answering this question tons of times on Yahoo Answers & thought I should just go ahead & post it on my blog.
I have very long straight hair. I use biotin 5000 mg, coconut oil & L’Oreal’s new EverPure Sulfate-Free new shampoo & conditioner. I leave the coconut oil in overnight then wash out in the morning. If that does not work for then leave in for ONE hour then wash it out. Do this at least once a week. I do it twice sometimes if I have a time three times. I have been using Loreal's new product for almost a month & just love it. If you use the conditioner do not use the oil the same night or that morning for it will weigh your hair down. I hope this helps. Good luck & God bless you. :)

Help withScalp Psoriasis

I have read & tried everything. The only thing that really worked for me besides this was a shampoo that my doctor gave me...costing well over $200 without insurance & $50 with. What has worked best for me is 1. apply Tea Tree oil on scalp, leave in for at least an hour, then wash as usual. I have slept with it in & washed it out in the morning. I have started using Loreal's new sulfate free shampoo & conditioner. Sulfate is very bad for psoriasis. I was using Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo until this came along. Love the smell & the way my hair feels when I use it.
2. A high-fiber diet will absorb toxins in the gut, and beet or prune juice is wonderful to help detoxify the liver. I used a 3 day cleanse by Schiff which I purchased at H.E.B. Plus for $17.00 I noticed my psoriasis greatly improved after the 3 days. It says to taked once a month & have been doing so. There are tons of detox products out there but this is just helped me. I was not running to the bathroom all day either. You felt you had to go & you went that was about it but no running involved for me. Also, many have you taking tons of pills for 7, 14, & even 28 days but this one is just this one you take 2 tablets twice a day for 3 days. I have even used just 2 tablets for 6 days & still have good results. Doing these simple easy things have really helped me & I hope this helps you too. I know your liver is our bodies own detox machine but sometimes even the best machines need a little help. God bless you.
